More common: Genetic disorders are becoming more common. 1. With the completion of the human genome project and newer technology like snp arrays we are identifying the genetic basis for more diseases 2. With education - more patients are able to identify their symptoms being affiliated with a genetic alteration 3. As a population genetic disorders are more common due to better treatment as people live longer.
