Grief can have : Many symptoms similar to mental illnesses. I would not be quick to label yourself when you are actively grieving.

It takes: Around a year (on average) to cope with normal grief. If it has been much longer and you are still feeling very sad or depressed, it may be a sign that you may need some professional help to process the loss.
