Can happen: If you have a copper iud this can happen. It has only been 4 weeks. You can take Ibuprofen 800 mg every 6 hours to help stop the bleeding. It is the treatment of choice. If you have the mirena, (levonorgestrel) the bleeding can happen but stop over time. No need to worry. Just talk with your doctor.
