I don't know your: Symptoms. Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder in which a person binges on food. On average 3, 000 to 5, 000 calories are ingested during a binge. This is usually followed by feeling of guilt ; shame which then leads to attempts to burn calories ; decrease intake. This may come in the form of over-exercising, self- induction of vomiting, taking laxatives or diuretics. Recommend psychiatric eval.
