YES: The only blood test routinely used to detect cancer is psa. It is not unreasonable to have a psa test at your age, although there is some controversy as to how useful it is. If your doctor has not ordered the test, that was not a mistake, but if you are worried, you should probably have it done, if only to make you less worried.
