Probably early labor: The abdominal pains/cramping that can be labor pain, (contractions) are often very similar to intestinal pains from a stomach bug. And the contractions can cause loose stools to occur. Given the fact that you are 38 weeks pregnant, it seems that your symptoms are most likely due to early labor. It is possible you had a mild gastrointestinal illness, but if you are feeling better, no risk to baby.

Early labor?: Nausea and diarrhea at 38 weeks could be from a stomach virus or something you ate or could be early labor. If it is early labor you will notice contractions and increasing pelvic pressure. If a virus or something you ate it likely will go away in some hours. Good luck.
