Bronchitis, taken biaxin (clarithromycin) 5 days, drk grn mucous, awoke this a.m. with flushed hot face is this now pneumonia or reaction to biaxin (clarithromycin). took1 benedryl pm?

Not pneumonia: Pneumonia is a diagnosis by xr. If a doctor says you have pneumonia after listening, it is called a presumptive or working diagnosis. Symptoms would be fever, cough, are highlights. Flushing of the face without fever, the flushing of the face could be a reaction to something and biaxin (clarithromycin) is possible especially if there are other parts of the body with reactions.

Need to see doctor: Obviously the biaxin (clarithromycin) did not work for you and thus you will need to see your doctor again. Perhaps your problem is from asthma and not an infection at all.
