Is it necessary to treat an asymptomatic vaginal yeast infection? doc looked at discharge, said there was a "little" yeast. not bothering me tho.

Gyn: If you are asymptomatic i would not recommend any treatment at this time. However if you develop burning, itching and/or increase in discharge you need treatment.

Not needed: If it is not bothering you then there is no reason to treat it. The vagina often fixes itself.
