A member asked:

Can geodon (ziprasidone) damage knee joints? have trouble standing on two feet. is this caused by restless leg from geodon (ziprasidone)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Knee damage uncommon: I am not aware of Geodon (ziprasidone) being likely to cause knee joint damage, but there certainly could be difficulty with walking if having extrapyramidal symptoms, including akathisia (restlessness) that sometimes can come from geodon, (ziprasidone) especially at higher doses but sometimes even with low doses. Recommend discussing with prescriber.
