NSAIDs: The nsaids are effective even for migraine of moderate to severe intensity, they are more useful when taken early in the migraine attack. Another advantages: less expensive, for acute migraine , the nsaids possess low potential for producing medication overuse headache and the development of daily or near-daily chronic headache. There is no best otc nsaid, but aleeve and advil (ibuprofen) are very common.
