See details: Ra is very unlikely when a single finger is involved. Is the finger swollen? Is there an area of tenderness? It could something simple such as tendinitis. See an orthopedist or rheumatologist.

Many possibilities: First need to know if there is any swelling or morning stiffness or other signs of inflammation. It sounds doubtful that this is ra. At the age of 28 there are many possible causes of limited joint pain. If your symptoms continue you should see a rheu, atologist.
