Broken toe: Well first x rays are taken to determine the extent of the fracture , boney alignment etc. If all is aligned well , then a surgical boot or cam walker is used. If the bones are not aligned well your doctor will discuss options with you and your parents. Good luck.

A lot depends...: On where the break is at. If it is not into a joint, there should be some degree of worry about displacement as well. Rest, ice, compression, elevation and splinting will help. See a podiatrist for an x-ray and make sure it doesn't get worse.
