A member asked:

Diagnosed with low grade hpv. i am in a monogamous relationship, do we need to use condoms? does that increase liklihood it will clear on its own?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HPV: Is common and when a couple are having intercourse they share any hpv with each other. You don't need to use condoms because you've already shared viruses, and condoms only prevent 70% of transmission. How quickly your body clears the hpv depends on your immune system but can take 2-5 years. Just get regular paps but don't worry about this.
