i've had a cold for a week, its getting better but now my ear hurts? can't take decongestant due to heart issues. what to do?

Time to see MD: You need to have someone examine you --look in your ears to see if you have developed an ear infection, check your throat, etc. With your heart situation, don't take chances; if you think it's possible you may have an ear infection, go get seen right away.
