Many possibilities : Have her doctor take a look, as this sounds like a pattern that can accompany a viral or perhaps a bacterial infection. It might need time, or a prescription antibiotic cream/ointment, something else, or nothing. Give the doctor a a call and see what he advises. Hope this is helpful.
