Several types: Cardiovascular disease encompasses many specific fields of study: electrophysiological disease deals with disease of the hearts electrical or conduction system; valvular heart disease deals with conditions that affect the valves of the heart; congenital heart disease deals with anomolies of the heart that people are born with; there are studies of heart & peripheral arteries, muscle and much more.
