What is relationship between migraines then strokes years later?

Migraines: Acute, severe migraine (cerebral vasospasm) can cause an acute stroke, but fortunately this is rare. I am not aware of any way that you could prove that a stroke that happened years later was due to a migraine. This seems very doubtful, but not impossible.
