Eye Lid Dermatitis: Eyelid eczema is usually due to an irritation from a cosmetic or other substance, but can be due to allergy (allergic contact dermatitis), rubbing (neurodermatitis), or atopic dermatitis. Eyelid skin is different from skin elsewhere. For one thing, it is very thin, so irritants and allergens penetrate the skin rapidly. You can try 1% Hydrocortisone but you have to find the cause.
