A member asked:

I had my period and my cycle was 29 days so when do i ovulate and do i count luteal phase to get correct ovulating?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

14 days before start: About 14 days before the expected start of the upcoming period, one is likely to ovulate. Of course, it can vary from woman to woman, as people are not identical. That means a 28 day cycle = ovulation on or about day 14, and a 30 day cycle = ovulation on or about day 16 of the cycle (14 days before the first day of the next period).
