Otitis: Ear swelling and liquid drainage are symptoms of ear inflammation and infection or otitis, the drainage and decreased hearing may be a sign of severe infection he needs a ear exam to determine the location of the extension of inflammation or infection and that will guide the treatment ear drops versus pills.
