Yes: Elevated nonfasting triglycerides mean nothing. A nice cheese meal before your blood test will increase triglycerides. If i had elevated fasting triglycerides, i'd up my aerobic fitness program and stop worrying. As a pathologist / lab specialist, i've never had much use for 'treating lab values.' enjoy your cheese.
