Sex...: Some cancers are caused by infections that disregulate human cell replication. One example of this is cervical cancer. Nearly all cervical cancers are caused / mediated by infection with the human papillomavirus (hpv). This virus is spread between people during sexual intercourse. If one partner passes the virus to another, then that person may predispose the other to later developing cancer.
