It can sometime but: Like any infection it is possible for body to fight of the infection and ut can rarely happen with strep throat
but having said that it is not wise to let it go untreated as it can cause severe complications like rheumatic fever which can effect your heart or nervous system.It can also cause otitis media, sinusitis, peritonsillar abscess
