There is a cure: Cancer can usually be cured if it is caught early enough. The ways to improve the cure rate are first to catch things earlier, and second, to improve cure rates for advanced cancer.

Good question!: Cancer is not a single disease. It happens when cells grow without stopping. Those cells can be in any body tissue or organ, so every cancer is different. There will probably not be a single cure, but we are finding specific targets for each type of cancer, and they will be cured one at a time. We are making progress...But there's much we still don't understand.
