Bad breath: Halitosis comes from three areas. Mouth and teeth. Nose and nasopharynx. Lastly esophagus and stomache. Start with better oral hygiene, and a dental check-up. Then have the rest checked out.

Halitosis, or: bad breath is caused by poor dental health, tooth decay and may be a sign of other health problems. Also the type of food you eat or other factors like smoking can effect your breath. Some mouthwashes or breath fresheners may actually worsen a bad breath problem by irritating oral tissue with their high alcohol content. Prevention is the key.
