Referred pain : The term referred pain (heterotopic) refers to any spontaneous pain that is felt in the area other than its true source. The reason for this pain is that the original source of pain input produces a sensitization in inter-neurons responsible of heterotopic pain. Back pain is a source, pelvic area is a site or vice versa. See pain management doc to fix the source.
