Maldigestion or ?: Maldigestion is when your food does not get broken down (digested) in your gut (due to problems with pancreas, bile flow, hyperacidity, enzyme problems like lactase deficiency, sibo). Malabsorption is when your digested food is not absorbed by gut (due to inflammation like crohn's, dysmotility, mucosal disorders like celiac disease, whipple's disease, tropical sprue, etc).
