Reflux causes globus: Globus is a sensation that something is "stuck" in your throat when there is nothing there. Most commonly it is caused by chronic irritation of the throat by acid reflux that cause the lining in your throat to swell a little giving you the sensation that something is stuck there. When you eat, your stomach secretes acid, which then refluxes into your throat causing the globus sensation.
