Almost the same: Morphine and heroin are narcotic analgesics which are indicated for moderate to severe pain. Heroin (diamorphine) is a derivative of the morphine, but it is more potent after chemical treatment with acetyl molecule. That’s allows heroin to cross the blood-brain barrier more quickly than ordinary morphine. Heroin is restricted in the usa as a medication.
