Some of them: become solid citizens, become doctors, lawyers, judges, politicians, business executives, housewives, truck drivers and everything else under the sun, and resume the productive lives they had before their addictions. Others continue with other kinds of addictive behaviors, or just continue being the same kind of human beings, but without the drug ("dry drunks.")
