There has been: A correlation found between consumption of sweets and caffeine and panic attacks; however I am not aware of any food allergies and panic attacks. If someone has a food allergy they have real physiological reactions to the food not panic attacks. The fear of possibly eating something that you are allergic to and have had severe reactions to in the past could lead to phobias and/ or panic attacks.

Allergy panic: Having any severe allergic reaction can be anxiety provoking and result in a panic attack in the susceptible person. Allergic reactions can cause increased heart rate, heaviness in the throat or chest, shortness of breath, and a feeling of unwellness. These symptoms are similar to those found in panic attacks. Usually people will also have hives, itchy, rash, and skin flushing as well.
