Allergic reactions: Minor allergic reactions are generally improved with oral antihistamines with out without topical steroids. Severe allergic reactions characterized by facial swelling, respiratory distress, severe vomiting and swallowing problems should be treated immediately in the emergency room or with injected epinephrine.
