Get checked: If you have chronic congestion, then a work up for potential causes of rhinitis is in order. If there is swelling on one side, then an examination for lesions or polyps is necessary. If you have occasional congestion and are otherwise healthy with normal blood pressure, an over the counter decongestant should help.
