By the symptoms: A 30's male with complaints of upset stomach wants to know if has ibs or lactose intolerance. Ibs symptoms are chronic, lasting more than 2-3 months, and associated with frequent loose stools and/ or constipation. If stop milk ; prob resolves is lactose. Also keep in mind celiac disease and if stop all wheat products symptoms might similarly resolve.
