When young people presented w/odd infections (pneumocystis) ; malignancies (kaposi's sarcoma) alert care providing individuals called epidemiologists to investigate the outbreaks ; assisted by scientists discovered the virus causing immunodeficiency ; then prevention plans ; treatments followed.
