Contact the dentist: Sounds like this is a tough adjustment. Please be sure to talk with your dental professional who did the moldings and fittings. You need to have comfortably fitting dentures for eating, talking, etc. Thrush is due to an overgrowth of naturally-occurring yeast in the mouth. There are meds for this. Discuss this with the dentist and/or your physician for optimal diagnosis and treatment.

Make sure you are removing your denture at night and cleaning it and your gum tissue thoroughly. False teeth do not take away the need for thorough homecare, but make sure you ask your dentist about this situation.
