2 choices: 1. If you have not seen a dentist for a prolonged time period, this is a possibility. If you feel comfortable, proceed with treatment. 2. If you have been under regular dental care, or of you feel uncomfortable with the recommendation, seek a second (or even third) opinion. Ask the 1st dentist for a copy of your x-rays to take with you, and do expect a fee to be charged.

Filling cavities: Treatment diagnosed is your treatment plan and you have the freedom and the right to accept, decline or get another opinion to help your decision. If you feel comfortable where you are that is definitely a positive aspect that will aid in the success of your treatment.
