Happiness is made up: Of small moments of joy that come together to give a sense of happiness. Try to pay attention to the tiny moments of joy, look for them. Spend time with friends or family that you enjoy being with. Go to a movie volunteer to help people less fortunate to you. Consider working with a therapist to find out what is making you feel sad.

You can be happy!: There are many possible explanations for why a person does not feel happy. Some disorders with symptoms of depression or anxiety might be the culprit. If so, see your doctor. These problems can be effectively treated. But, feeling happy is also a side effect of behaviors related to gratitude, goals, involvement in activities, and spending time with other people (and being interested in them).
