Avoid heartburn trig: It is important to pay attention to the types of foods you are eating for dinner. If you are having garlic, onions, tomatoes, spicy or greasy foods, caffeine or mint flavoring in your foods or beverages, this can trigger reflux or heartburn. Check with your doctor to see if you are a good candidate for Zantac (ranitidine) or like medication. Sleep with the head if your bed elevated. Eat 3 hours before bed.
