Eating habits: A diet high in fiber and vegetables will stimulate colonic bacteria to produce the gaseous output that we technically term flatus. Examine what you used to eat, what you have changed and what you can modify. It is impossible to completely eliminate this part of metabolism but you can help things. Burping is mostly eliminating swallowed air and can be minimized by eating habit changes.
