Spanish Flu: The spanish flu is the name given to an influenza pandemic that occurred in 1918 in which 25 million people died within the first 25 weeks. It is spread in the same manner that influenza is spread today.Some avoided the virus. Others hydrated and rested. There were no flu shots or antiviral medications at that time.
