Canker sore: If it's a true canker sore, it will go away in 5-14 days on its own. Avoid spicy and acidic foods. There are numerous otc medications\ointments available at the local pharmacy or supermarket to help it feel better. Rinsing alternately with warm salt water or diluted 3% hydrogen peroxide often helps. If you need something stronger or wish quicker relief, see your own dentist.

Canker sore: Try using some water and corn starch to make a paste to put on the ulcer. This usually helps. If you go see you dentist, they can give you debacterol treatment or kenalog (triamcinolone) with orabase to help with the discomfort. I would see a dentist to make sure you problem is really a canker sore.
