I'm not sure : If i understand your question correctly. Why do you feel you have to pretend to be happy? What will happen if you let people know you are unhappy? How long you wait to be honest with others about how you are feeling is up to you. If you are unhappy, find someone you trust to talk to to try to find solutions. If you don't tell anyone no one can help you. You may want to try working with a therapist.
