I'm curious as to what is infection and allergies?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The cause: Often the symptoms may be similar, particularly with a viral infection (more than bacterial). Infections are caused by organisms and cause a body response (bacteria, fungus, virus). Allergies are a reaction your body has set up (rather inappropritately) to material that sensitizes it. Only susceptible people will be at risk for allergies but everybody can have infection at some point.
