Neck sprain/strain: Sounds like a neck strain or sprain. Other more serious problems like a herniated disc or pinched nerve are much less likely. Most strains respond to a couple days of rest and anti-inflammatory medications like Ibuprofen or naproxen. If the pain doesnt resolve after a few days, have it looked at by an orthopedist.
