Woke up with sharp pain in right lung..any ideas on the causes of this?

The lung mostly has: tissue without pain nerves. A sharp pain could be due to inlammation in the ribs and muscles, a condition called Costochondritis. If you smoke, there may be more problems. Please check with your primary doctor if this persists . You may need a chest xray. Get well.
