What to eat?: After 72 hours following extraction, it is still best to stay on a softer diet. Avoid the small, harder items like nuts, seeds, popcorn. You want to avoid jamming anything into the sockets. Should try and at least rinse after every meal or snack. Gently brush the other teeth. Increase to a regular diet as you feel more like normal. Happy healing!

72 hours: eat soft foods include ice cream, pudding, jello, yogurt, soup (lukewarm), pancakes, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs and pasta. After the third day, you may eat anything you wish, unless given other specific instructions by the doctor.
