Wisdom teeth: There should be absolutely no pain during the removal of wisdom teeth. You will be completely numb and may also elect to receive IV sedation. Following the procedure, depending upon the position of the teeth and the difficulty of the surgery, you can expect some discomfort or pain, which is handled with an appropriate pain medication. Discuss your specific situation with an oral surgeon.

None: No pain during the procedure. Options range from local anesthesia to general anesthesia. After surgery, pain handled nicely with pain medication. For best results, make sure you are evaluated and treated by a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon.
