Numb > extraction: Depending upon the specific local anesthetic used, this might be normal and to be expected. The range of numbness is 3 -12 hours. You can either wait it out longer and it should go away on its own, or call the dentist who actually removed the tooth for what to expect regarding the length of time that you will remain numb.
