Many symptoms: High blood calcium level is usually caused by hyperparathyroidism, where excess parathyroid hormone because of benign tumors called adenomas. Common symptoms include fatigue, depression, kidney stones, bone pain, insomnia, headaches, heartburn and palpitations.
